The
6th annual Motorcycle Lobster Rally in Shediac runs from Thursday,
September 17th, to Sunday, September 20th, 2009.
Join the bikers at Parlee Beach and Downtown Shediac - and "Ride like the
wind!"

6:00 PM to 12:00
Meet & Greet at Club Boishebert, 322 Main St. Shediac
Entertainment, Barbarque, Registration, You won't be disappointed as a few surprises are in the wind!
Friday, September 18th
12:00 Noon (Articles for Silent Auction on Display)
Meet at 'Big Tent' Parlee Beach Provincial Park
Registration,
Leave for Poker Run, (scenic coastal drive) $10.00 Fee - Half goes to
best poker hand half goes to Lion's Sick Children's Fund. Run ends on
Main Street, Shediac
5:00 to 10:00
Main Street Biker Party, downtown Shediac. Live Band, barbarque, 50/50 draws, custom bike displays, and much more.

The volunteer organizers of the Shediac Motorcycle Lobster Rally continue to build this 4 year old festival by increasing the events and attracting bikers from all over the world, making sure the the public and bikers have a great time and enjoy helping the Lions Sick Children's Fund.
In fact, bikers come from New Brunswick, Prince Edward Island, Newfoundland, Quebec, Iles de la Madeleine, Ontario, United States and in 2008 there were bikers from Switzerland.
A little background:
The main purpose of the Shediac Motorcycle Rally is to raise money for the Lions Sick Children’s Fund.
The logo design is a red lobster riding a motorcycle with the words “Rare Breed” “Rare Disease” written on each side. This symbolizes the bikers as the "rare breed" and the sick kids as “rare disease”.
All profits from the rally go to the Lions Sick Children’s Fund:
The Shediac Motorcycle Lobster Rally started in 2004 with an executive committee of three people. The first donation for Lions Sick Children Fund was $2,100.00. That rose steadily to $15,500.00 in 2008. The 2009 goal is a 45% increase: $22,500.00!
Aside from the Main Street Biker Party in downtown Shediac, most of the events are held in The Big Tent at Parlee Beach, Pointe du Chene:
